Clutch Replacement on a Ford Focus 2004 – How the Repair Works

The clutch replacement requires the complete removal of the gearbox. Duration: 5 hours.

• Lift the vehicle onto the ramp
• End links, tie rods, constant velocity joints and ball joints loosen
• Unscrew subframe and remove gearbox
• Clutch disc, clutch basket and thrust bearing replacement
• Reassemble the gearbox and reconnect all fittings
