Loud noise from the exhaust on a Honda Jazz 1.2 – exhaust pipe replacement in Berlin

Recently, one of our regular customers approached us with a problem. Savtrans Berlin garage: From the exhaust pipe of his Honda Jazz, 1.2, year of manufacture 2012, Loud noises could be heard. He called ahead and we made an appointment.

Why is the exhaust making loud noises? – Causes for the Honda Jazz

• The exhaust pipe seal was burnt out due to high temperatures
• The exhaust pipe was rusted
• A blow to the exhaust pipe or the muffler

The diagnosis was carried out by car mechanic Dmitri:

• He carried out a visual inspection of the underbody of the vehicle
• He checked the silencer's connection
• He started the engine
  During the diagnosis, Dmitri realised that the silencer seal had blown and needed to be replaced.

Exhaust repair procedure on the Honda Jazz - step by step

1. Remove the old silencer
2. Order a new sealing ring 3. treat the seat of the ring with aluminium grease
3. The silencer's rubber seals replaced
4. Fitted the new silencer
   Working time approx. 2 hours
